Watch Gorgeous Nora Fatehi Recreating the Magic of ‘Dilbar’ for the Move Satyameva Jayate to hit the strings of nostalgia
‘Dilbar’ from John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate is a remaked version of the iconic ’90s number from Sushmita Sen and Sanjay Kapoor’s 1999 film Sirf Tum.
Revealing the idea behind recreating the hit number, producer Nikkhil Advani says to TOI, “I believe that Nora’s belly dance on this iconic track will redefine its genre. My brief to choreographer Adil Sheikh was to create a clutter-breaking dance number. I think he has surpassed all my expectations. ‘Dilbar’ is going to give the audience one more reason to watch ‘Satyameva Jayate’.”
Producer Bhushan Kumar adds, “I remember how the song was an instant hit when it released 1999. I have been wanting to recreate it with modern notes for a long time. The song is part of an important sequence in the film and the Arabic theme has lent it a magical feel.”
The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Neha Sharma’s younger sister Aisha Sharma.
‘Satyameva Jayate’ will be out on August 15 and that will make it clash with ‘Gold‘ and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’, though category of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 is different from remaining two, It will certainly be a tough fight between the three films.
